deviantID

I am a 59 year old man living in England with my wife and our two adult kids. I am a member of Redbubble and have all my work on there. I use the name Blythart for the simple reason that I love art and I live in a town called Blyth.

I have been doing pen and ink art longer than colour work and have had two exhibitions in my home town so far.

I am always eager to learn about art and also to chat with other artists.

My favourite artists at the moment are Van Gogh, Antoni Gaudi, Pablo Picasso, Aubrey Beardsley and the Pre-Raphaelites.

Hi ax777,

I have done 495 pictures so far, which isn't too many considering I am 59. In my life I have had periods of up to three years at a time when I haven't done any art, but I have been fairly prolific during the last five or six years. I have over 200 pictures on display in Redbubble under the name of Blythart.

I am slowly uploading work onto Deviantart for those who haven't seen my Redbubble account. I'm a bit nervous after hearing all the stories of how easy it is to steal art from Deviantart though. As I am not bothered about sales I am uploading low definition pictures. Problem is I can't add a watermark when thye picture is small ... is this normal?

I've only been on here a few days though, so if you have any insider tips or hints I'd welcome them,

Cheers,

Dave.

the only solution i can think of is to put a good resolution pic.on photoshop and draw a check mark or something which would ruin the photo for a thief.hopefully that would help.

Yeah, why can't you just type in a username and find the artist? We are kind of old fogies here Dave...lol. These emoticons crack me up! Add some work so I can favorite it ;).
